Let us show you how to calculate the offset of your wheels....the proper way!Monday, December 19, 2016 –
We are showing you what tools are needed and how to measure the offset using a set of 17" OZ Fittipaldi, 3 Piece wheels as an example.
1. Loosen lug bolts
2. Jack the car up safely
3. Remove wheels
4. Measure overall wheel width and backspacing
5. Assume flange thickness (because you can't see it with the tires mounted) at 1" TTL
6. To calculate offset, perform the simple equation.
Center - Backspacing where Center = Overall Width - Flange Thickness
