California Exhaust law, the Latest News

Friday, March 15, 2019 –

Ever since California's Exhaust law became strictly enforced, the car community has taken action to express their feelings on what they think is an unfair law. Recently AB 390 was introduced to replace AB 1824 which means that exhaust violations would be correctable (Fix-it-Tickets). So far there is no update on the status of AB 390 but we still have some good news. AB 210 has been introduced to allow cars from 1983 and older to be exempt from emissions inspection requirements. This means that cars from 1983 and older will no longer be required to pass a smog check. While this isn't the exact change we wanted, it is a step in the right direction. We are getting closer and closer to reaching our goal of repealing the exhaust law and progress is being made! just be patient.
