Surprising our SUBSCRIBER with his DREAM CAR BUILD! (Full Transformation): 2014 Subaru BRZ

Alex was recently announced as the winner for throtl Dream Build #2! As the winner of #throtldreambuild2, Alex got his car shipped out to San Diego California to be fully modified by the throtl team. When Alex's car arrived, it was a mostly-stock 2014 Subaru BRZ. As soon as the car arrived at the throtl headquarters, the team immediately got to work on some modifications. Alex's car got the works with some new interior, exterior, and performance-based modifications. Interior Modifications For the interior of the BRZ, we installed a custom black suede headliner, throtl shift knob, and a new audio system from OEM Audio+. The OEM Audio+ system sounds significantly better than the factory audio system. This made it way more enjoyable to listen to music in the BRZ. The Opelite Optics headliner had a space theme with led shooting stars that lit up the roof of the BRZ, adding a nice bit of style to the interior. Building and Heavily Modifying a 2021 Ford Ranger XLT - Part 1

Most of you are familiar with the Ford Ranger we got for the throtl headquarters. We needed a truck that wasn't too big but could still handle the day-to-day jobs we do around the shop. Our 2021 Ford Ranger XLT has been the perfect candidate for a lightweight tow rig, parts hauler, and daily driver for Mickey.

In the last Ranger episode, we did some simple modifications that made a big difference in the Ranger's appearance. By installing a spacer lift, some Rays Wheels, and Falken Tires, we transformed the stock Ranger's exterior style. In today's episode of throtl, we continue to enhance the style of the Ford Ranger by installing some aftermarket headlights from Alpharex, along with a custom steering wheel from Carbontastic.

Installing the Alpharex headlights may seem like a scary task to complete because you have to take apart the majority of the vehicle's front end, however, it isn't as bad as it seems. The job does take a bit of time to complete, but Mickey can assure you that it isn't hard, given you have a nice set of tools.

After taking apart the front end, Mickey gets the new headlights installed and puts the front end back together. Not only do the new headlights look amazing with their black housings and led bulbs, but they put out significantly more light than the stock headlights. The final step to the install is setting the cutoff of the headlights so we don't accidentally blind any other drivers on the road.

After getting the new headlights installed on the Ranger, Mickey proceeds to remove the factory steering wheel. Thanks to Carbontastic, we got our hands on a custom steering wheel for the truck. The Carbontastic steering wheel has a dry carbon fiber trim piece that goes around the center of the steering wheel, different surface textures around the rim of the wheel, along with a yellow reference point at the top of the steering to indicate which direction is straight. We think the Carbontastic steering wheel made a nice touch to the interior style of the Ranger. Check it out for yourself in the video below!

We want to hear what you think of the Ranger build so far! Are you a fan of the throtl truck build? Should we make more truck content in the future? Drop a comment and let us know what you think!
