Building & Heavily Modifying a 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer EVO GSR - Part 4: HKS Hi-Power Catback Exhaust
The stock exhaust on our 2013 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution X is very quiet and restrictive. In today's episode of throtl we replace the factory exhaust with an HKS HI-Power exhaust.
Quinn and Rickie quickly removed the factory exhaust by unbolting the flanges and removing the exhaust hangers. After getting the factory exhaust removed, the installation of the HKS catback was quick and easy.
The new HKS exhaust is not only significantly lighter than the factory exhaust, but it looks 10x better! Although we thought the new exhaust looks cool, we had to take it for a test drive to see how it sounds. During the test drive, we quickly noticed a significant increase in sound and tone. The HKS exhaust opened up airflow, and now significant backfires can be heard. Check it out for yourself in the video below!
It's amazing how a simple bolt-on modification like a catback exhaust can transform the driving experience of your ride. We love the new exhaust on our Evo X, and strongly suggest upgrading the exhaust on your ride.
